Using books, videos, & songs, our mission is to help parents ignite their children’s curiosity towards Filipino heritage. To encourage our kababayans to continue the colorful traditions and teach values of being “Pinoy” to their children.

We are PROUD PINOYS!!!!

 

Most if not all of you, we are also Filipino parents looking to find ways to teach our kids the values, tradition and culture of the Philippines. It is often a struggle and difficult at times to teach our children the Filipino language especially when there is little or no existence of stimulating information for their eyes. Sometimes we question ourselves asking ``How can we expect our children to teach their kids the Filipino language and values when even us who have lived in the Philippines finds it hard to teach them``

 

Personally, it has been frustrating sometimes the lack of tools and resources available for us here abroad to teach our kids on how and what it is to be a proud Pinoy. When people talk about the Philippines, it is often the economic situation of the country and how poor or how hard life is for Filipinos. What is being neglected and not being talked about enough is the rich culture of the Philippines, the great values and traditions Filipinos have. Values that separates us from many, the inherent kindness we have for others, the humility we have, the great hospitality we have in return for a simple smile, the respect we have for the elders and our strong family ties.

 

By acknowledging this, we felt that it is our personal mission as Filipino parents to find ways and help other parents like us to have the right tools to teach their children, And this is what we in  Pinoy Culture wishes to provide.
